I don't want to use the automatic cut list feature in the weldment options in any of my parts.
I see the message to disable the feature to increase performance
I have set up all my template files to have these features unchecked but when I create a new part from these templates the features are checked again.

In my earlier post Deepak mentioned a macro solution.
I know a bit more about the API now than then, so can see a few ways it could work.

This entry in the help file says
It would be easy enough to write a macro that toggles the setting, but I'm not so sure about getting it to run automatically every time you create a new weldment part. I know it's possible but am unsure the correct method.

edit: for the batch processing, you could probably get it to work with #TASK

I would like to run this on all files or at least part & asm files. Would you be able to explain how I change your macro to do this?

The macro works on single part file only (it would not work on assembly files) and would check if the part is weldment or not. In case you want to run on all part files, then you can use the #TASK tool for batch processing.
So where it says "If swPartDoc.IsWeldment Then"
I would like to use this on non weldment parts and then run it using the task manager to deselect the option on all my files.
So I guess i would need to change the line highlighted so it is not asking about the weldment file?

I don't think it would make sense to delete the IF statement, as IsWeldment is merely checking that you have a cutlist.
As has been suggested you can use #TASK to batch process all your files.
Rob is correct that it would automatically check if the part is weldment or not but since you want to run it on each file, then remove/comment these two lines.
