We are currently using SW2017, in this edition they have 'fixed' mirrored holes so that when the hole callout is used in the drawing; it displays the instances of the original feature as well as the instances of any mirrored holes. See below link:

This is absolutely fine for holes on the same face, but we have hundreds of parts in which the holes have been mirrored from one end of a part to the other (think a shaft that is mounted between 2 plates, it has a thread in each end). With this new update, the hole callout now picks up both holes; this seems like poor dimensioning practice to us as it states there are 2 holes when on each face there is 1.

We ideally do not want to manually alter the number of instances or place in the hole feature separately on each side, as this would more than likely lead to mistakes in the future.
