Change deflection direction of lofted sheetmetal

Question asked by Lucas Malina on May 24, 2018

Hi all,

I have searched everywhere and can't find someone asking a similar question.

I am trying to create a lofted-bend sheetmetal section between two 3D curves (3D splines).

My issue is that the direction of the deflection of the loft between the two curves is always convex instead of concave.  Is there a way to control this?

I tried using normal planes and shorter segments but nothing seems to help.  Essentially I want to try and maintain normal to curve like you can with a sweep but somehow align the two normals (from each 3D sketch spline) I have a picture marked up to try and better explain what I am trying to achieve.

I have also attached the model.

I am thinking that this is physically required and thus being modeled so but I don't quite understand why it wouldn't be physically possible to roll such a section.

Thankyou in advance for your help.

Cheers

Lucas
