Hmm. It is pretty specific to sheet metal and more specifically, the editing of sheet metal bent profiles that have already been created. This has happened across several types of parts so It seems like a general issue. I hadn't thought of the Safe Modes however. There is a possibility that my old 2017 install is interfereing.
I'll try the safe mode thing Ryan - and will re-post with any progress.

Where you able to figure out what the problem could be? I am experiencing the same, after I updated to Sp3, and before that SW crashed on creating a sketch. Now it is specific to sheet metal - editing a sheet metal part.
It seems this is a SP3 issue that will be fixed later this week or next.
Did you find an SPR that related to this? Post it up if you have one; I'd like to take a look at it.
The SPR number is 1075899, the description is SOLIDWORKS 2018: Crash when adding a dimension to Hole wizard.
The case is logged as Sheetmetal crashes as well.

I haven't seen any real broad reaching crashing specifically with sheet metal. Is it localized to specific sheet metal commands like "Convert To"? Could you run the program in each of the SOLIDWORKS Safe Modes found on the 'Home' tab of the SOLIDWORKS Rx (found in the Windows Start menu)? Does the crashing subside under either of the Safe Modes?
