    SolidWorks 2018: Get configuration issue

    Ananth Subramanian

      Hello,

                  We are in the process of upgrading to SolidWorks 2018 and we have a current VB macro developed for filling in custom information within the title block.

      An example:

      etval = drawingdoc.AddCustomInfo("DESCRIPTION2", "Text", TxtDescription)

      For some reason, the information is not getting updated within the Title block. Is there any adjustment that we need to do to work in 2018. The current code works well with SolidWorks 2015.

      Regards,

      ananth

          Even though the call is obsolete since SW2007, it should still work.  However, before looking at it, is the custom property getting written to the drawing?  Have you changed what property the title block is looking at?  Can you provide a little more code on how you get the drawingdoc object?

          EDIT:  You are correct, the call does not seem to work in SW2018.
