Easy way to cap a surface

Here's a surface

How to cap this whole area without creating 18,746 loft features on the already messed up tree ?

Filled surface and Boundary surfaces, when they work, make a mess

(actually: even loft makes a mess... leaves open edges behind that cannot be knitted)

This shape was created by trimming two surfaces

Many tools have a "Cap end" option, but never the one you need

Solidworks is a disease in this area!

There are two thousand of ways to do this on Creo or non parametric CADs like 3ds max

Edit:

The following picture shows why the problem is not so trivial: the curvature must be obeyed. Such a curvature can be obtained on the "trim tool" that trimmed this one

When a feature has the "cap end" option, the capped area does obey the curvature. Unfortunately the "trim surface" feature doesn't have this option
