I am creating exploded views of an assembly. It contains a read-only assembly with lots of subassemblies and parts.

When I create a new exploded view, I can't get individual parts to select - only the entire assembly.

I have to go to the design tree and select items (parts or subassemblies) there.

This is really tedious. Is this a result of the parts being buried in a read-only assembly, or what?

SW premium 2014 x64, Enterprise PDM running on Win 7, i7, 32 GB ram
