Pack and Go question.

My company has one folder, on our network, that contains an entire system.  We are using Pack and Go to manipulate drawings.  We take the drawing and every sub part into a folder on our computer, different than the network folder. We are manipulating the drawing, and updating to a new template.  This new template requires new information to go into the summary information for the assembly or part.  If I then use Pack and Go and put the new drawing back into the original folder, does the manipulation of the summary information break links for the part?
