I have just upgraded from SW 2017 to 2018 and have found that my Space Explorer USB 3D mouse will not work. I downloaded the latest driver for it but when I try to install it I get a message that I need to uninstall my existing version. However, when I run the windows installer I get another error message "There was a problem starting C:\Program. The specified module could not be found.

I have contacted 3Dconnexion and got the following reply;

Unfortunately the SpaceExplorer USB is a discontinued product.
That means that newer Software will not work with it.
SolidWorks 18 requires our last driver 10.5.6, but this is not compatible with your device.

You can now either get a newer product or using an older software.

Has anyone else had this problem?

I have the additional issue that I have two of these 3D mice, one at work and one at home so it could be very expensive!
