I am updating a parts catalog and I already have close to a hundred exploded view as slddrw (2D). I would like to use composer to re-vamp the parts catalog for this year and I would like to re-use those drawings. I would hate to re-do exploded views and balloons a second time...
Is it possible?
Could I use the exploded view configuration in the assembly file in composer?
Or should I re-explode my assemblies?

there is no need for re-creation. If you import an SWX assembly, and there exists an exploded view in the selected configuration, there will be an already created view named "Exploded view" in Composer.

I'm sorry, but the composer is a 3D oriented tool. Sure you can load a picture (2D) but do not continue editing. The further processing of the exploration representations will not work.
