I need to show the bend line locations and dimensions for a bent 3/8" rod. Is there any way to do that?
You might get some good ideas here - The 3rd Weekly Power-User Challenge (May 5th, 2017): Bend a square profile in multiple directions and determine its flat pattern
(There isn't an "easy" way to do this, but there are some pretty creative workarounds!)
Also, check out the Flex command. It may be a bit confusing at first. There are videos on YouTube.
Do you truly need the flat pattern or are you just needing the cut length? You can make curved profiles with the weldment structural members and the cut list will tell you how long the part is.
If you are after LRA info (Length/Rotation/Angle) or are using a CNC tubing bender, I believe that you can pull this information from Routing. (You will need SOLIDWORKS Premium for Routing.)
