The process that i am doing is
1.) I backed up my creo assembly file in some folder
2.) I imported the file in solidworks composer 2017 at that time by checked in import meta properties/ import instances names etc .
but couldn't get the meta properties in BOMs
Maybe you need to use one add-in DATAkit maybe bring all meta data

Composer is using SOLIDWORKS as a file translator for different file types.
Now - in SOLIDWORKS 2018 - with using 3D Interconnect you are able to get your meta's also from Inventor and Creo files. SOLIDWORKS 2017 was the first version wich introduced 3D Interconnect - but without meta properties. New in SOLIDWORKS SP3 is the possibility to import JT files as well!
As Dirk Rautenberg mentioned, there is / maybe a difference if you are using a fully licensed SOLIDWORKS or the "small" SOLIDWORKS, the Translator, installed together with Composer. I don't know right now...

if you have a full license of Solidworks, you will be able to Import JT, Solidedge and Creo.
If you dont use Solidworks but the Composer, you install the Importer. In this case, you have no possiblity to Import those filetyps, becaus in the import-menu there is no possiblity.
There is no way to Import Meta directly from Creo to Solidworks Composer, only Geometry. The check Box, Meta properties Import has only effect for in Solidworks created Models.
The same to Inventor, etc.
