If you use the Weldment function of SW, the 3D "stick figure" would be created first. The extrusions are then created along the "sticks".
Or are you asking how to create the 3d geometry from a frame created in SW which did not use the Weldment function?
The weldment was built in SolidWorks, using the weldment function. I am being asked for a stick figure to load into Risa. It would be nice to generate it from my model, or the 3-D sketch it is built on. Is there way to do that easily? As far as I know, SolidWorks doesn’t export 3-D dxf or dwg (import yes, export no)
I should give more information. This is to be a "stick figure" of the members at their centroids, for import into and use in Risa.
