I'm just getting my feet wet using the simulation features in SolidWorks. I am performing a static force simulation on a bracket I have modeled and I am curious as to the illustrated results. Is the displacement shown in the viewing area exaggerated? See attached image. The scale on the side of the displacement to max out at just over .002" yet the tab on which the force is exerted is certainly bent beyond that displacement with respect to the dimensions of the part itself which is over 9" long in total. I was trying to Google around to get a better understanding but its Friday and my brain is fried, thought I'd toss the question to the forum. Any insight you can provide would help! Thanks!
