I work from home, mostly on a desktop computer. when I travel (frequently) I use a laptop. Company is transitioning from Workgroup PDM to PDM Standard.

I put my working directory for Workgroup on Dropbox so I always had access to the same files on both computers--Dropbox sync'd them in the background. Over the VPN it can take a very long time to sync the laptop's vault with the server and it requires transferring my license, so it's not something I'm going to do on a daily basis...which makes the sync take longer. I need a less time-consuming way to set the laptop up to travel.

What I'd like to do is put my desktop's vault folder in my Dropbox folder, then use the same folder on my laptop. Is that possible? Are there any reasons not to do it?
