I am trying to render an assembly but am getting very poor
results. The parts are supposed to be brushed stainless steel but
as you can see look more like granite. In realview they look much
better, but still "washed out". Being a novice at photoworks I
would really appreciate some guidance as to what I'm doing wrong!
Thanks

PhotoWorks can be a challenge at times, there are several things you can do to get the affect that you want, try switching materials, if your wanting the bright chrome look, use polished chrome material. But what else I have found is look in your feature tree for each component if there are any default texture/materials/colors detach them, make sure the only item in the appearance tree is the appearance you are actually are using. Do the same thing in your assembly. PhotoWorks will automatically assign some default appearance, and when you render it doesn't give you the affect you're looking for. You should notice a huge difference after taking them out. Another tip, render each component first, and make sure it has the look you want, before trying the assembly.
