I have started to experience the very helpful error message when publishing FEA reports from SolidWorks "An invalid argument was encountered". I don't seem to get it all the time but it is currently present on eight out of nine studies for the part I'm working on (somehow the fact it works fine on the one makes it more annoying). The report generation window shows up and the viewport moves around the model to all the relevant contact sets, restraints and loads then the error pops up at the end (with or without the option to display the report) and no file is created. A report is added to the folder in the FEA tree with a yellow exclamation warning and "What's wrong?" simply states "The content of published report is not current. Please publish it again."

So far, I have tried:

  • Restarting SolidWorks
  • Restarting Windows
  • Re-running the studies
  • Moving the SolidWorks files out of PDM
  • Moving the Save location out of SVN
  • Clearing the %temp% folder
  • Pledging my first born to any helpful deity.

Has anyone got any suggestions?
