No driving source

Good Morning Everyone,

 

        I am confused by how Solidworks PCB functions. When a pin is considered "passive" the programs sees it as a wire per say? So my real question is why is it when i had the resister pins (in picture below) as passive the op amps pins had no driving source, but if I mark pin 2 of the resistor as an output it now has a driving source? No quite sure I am fully understanding how Solidworks PCB is interpreting the signal flow, can someone please clarify this for me? Picture with ACS723LLCTR-40AU-T is the source of the signal to op amp U8A pin 6 and U8B pin 4.
