I am following an instructional video from a lecture with my own model, and they use a thickened shape to subtract from a model, when I try it on my model using the same method, I receive an error message. Does anyone know how I can get past this?
As soon as I open your part and run a rebuild....your Shell fails. I suspect that this is the reason.
Not sure how you got the shell to work in the first place. Is the video from a different version of Solidworks?
Its strange that it fails for you, When I rebuild the model it works fine.
I think the video was made on 2016 solid works and I am using 2017-18 student version.
Do you think reducing the radius or curvature of the red end points would make a difference? its the middle section that I am trying to remove using the subtract tool.
