While trying to create a .STEP (AP203) file of a relatively large (~2600 components) assembly, Solidworks 2018 SP 2.0 keeps crashing.

I was able to work around it by saving the assembly as a part, then converting that to a .STEP, but even that barely worked...it took a very long time to complete.

Anything, in particular, I should check?

To be fair to the 2018 version, 2017 was doing the same thing.
