i use an excel file in a custom tab builder. When i open a part to edit,sw keeps prompting me to save excel file used in custom tab builder. its so annoying. How do i stop this? sw 2014
Is it because you have "allow custom values" checked?
THAT SHOULDNT HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH IT, BUT JUST FOR KICKS I TRIED IT. STILL PROMPTS ME. ANY OTHER IDEAS?
Is the Excel file read only?
Or is it in a protected folder that prevents writes w/o explicit UAC permission interaction?

In my case, we think it might be because I am using an older version of office (2013) that is confusing SW. What version of office are you using?
