Is there a reason that Lock rotation sometimes does not show when I right click the concentric mate? (It's not hidden in the expand menu either)
From what I have observed is: if the mate with locking rotation would over define the part, it doesn't offer the option.
If there is a mate in error, it will not give you the ability to lock the rotation.
If locking the rotation overdefines, it will not give you the ability to lock.
Hmm, any other reasons?
I only mated the screw with a coincident and a concentric to one part. The part to part mate (hole to hole) is separate. By the examples given, they shouldn't be affected.
Are you guys saying a mate error somewhere else in the assy have a similar affect?
Could be the Coincidence mate. Take it out and give it a try.
PS I try to never use any form of lock. But to stop rotation I use a plane. Most of my parts I make it would be right plane to right plane.
Perhaps what you are trying to mate it to is a spline or something of that sort and that is why you cannot lock it.
Try running MateXpert to see if it can find an issue/remedy.
