Hello

Can someone explain me principal axes in solid works Mass Properties.

I understand what they are, but I don't understand Solid Works interpretation Principal axes and principal moments of inertia.

Using mass properties, it says principal axes of inertia and principal moments of inertia and there are values (I understand principal moments of inertia about principal axes which are in the CG, and that is fine) but what are these formulations

Ix(1,0,0)

Iy(0,0,-1)

Iz(0,1,0)

It sure looks like tensor, but for a symmetrical part, shouldn't there be all ones on a diagonal. Moments of inertia tensor for output coordinate system has all zeros exept for diagonal (these are moments of inertia for the output coordinate system), but what about this:

Ix(1,0,0)

Iy(0,0,-1)

Iz(0,1,0)
