Hi,  I am trying to edit at part in an assembly and get the:

"the Component being edited it locked. If you want to add external references, first unlock the component"

So I right click on the part and click on:

"list external Ref"

All buttons across the bottom are grayed out except for OK and help.

I cannot do anything!  I have reset my regedit Solidworks files, no difference.

Any suggestions would help. I cannot share the files due to the nature of the project.
