This yellow inference line is not coming in my case. Video is attached. What is the reason?
3D Sketching with Planes in SOLIDWORKS 2016 - YouTube
Just hover over end point of horizontal line once and then you shall get the other line as well.
I tried that as well but it is not coming.
Oh okies, usually it should work. Unfortunately I can't open file to give it a try as SWX says it's in future version. I am using SWX 2017
If you started the sketch from scratch after 2.23 min you will reach the point.
Sorry, could not try yesterday.
Here is a screen shot of sketch. I am getting the virtual line.
But it is from origin and not from plane.
It comes in a 2D mode but not in a 3D mode. I do not know why.
I had used option 3D sketch on plane
Clicking on 3D sketch plus Clicking on 2D plane is activating 3D Sketch On Plane. I do not know what is difference between those.
That looks like the plane intersection. You can make it any color you want but you have to have "Show intersections checked".. I managed to make the intersection longer by stretching out the planes then autosizing them.
Edit:.. I got around to viewing you video.. Suppose I should have done that earlier.. My bad.
It is checked but inference line is not coming.
If you need a standard 45 degree plane why not just use your top plane as 1st reference and then front plane as 2nd reference and you'll instantly end up with a 45 degree plane. (The new plane can also be flipped and manipulated to suit your needs.)
You just need to pick the 2 correct planes dependant on where you want the 45 degree plane to end up!
I have done this by other way but want to know why inference line is not coming.
