Since I've installed service pack 2 I can't import some DWG or DXF files into Solidworks. They tend to be files I've converted to dwg from Revit; but not always. Anyone else have a problem similar?
Are you trying to import DWG/DXF as a sketch, or as a drawing? Or something else? Context please.
I'm trying to import the file as a 3D object. It shows during the import steps then when you click finish it opens up an empty part file.
My idea, Why don't you just copy all of the sketch geometry in the .dxf and paste it in a sketch in solidworks?
I dont think you can "IMPORT" a sketch from a dxf into solidworks. (I've never needed to do this so i've never tried this out)
Hello James,.. hmm,.. maybe opening them in DraftSight.. and saveas DWG.. then open in SW?
