What does the red mesh control icon mean? I don't see any other errors in the mesh and no errors popped up during the meshing/study.
Hi Matt, the red means, mesh failed for that particular body. There are couple of troubleshooting techniques listed as follow:
1) change your global element size (just slightly)
2) change your mesh type: from standard to curvature-based mesh or vice versa (the blended curvature-based mesh does not provide any extra privilege generally, wherein it is a 1 core processor mesher)
3) apply mesh controls on local areas (edge, face, vertex or component)
4 (last resource): switch to incompatible mesh (in order to prevent loosing too much accuracy in some cases, you need to activate more accurate option in simulation properties).
Hope it helps.
Unfortunately, it's not that simple. There appear to be zero bodies with a failed mesh. Such bodies would appear as red higher up in the simulation tree under "parts".
you do not have any body with mesh failure and at the same time you have one!? could you elaborate more.
Turned out to be some sort of bug. When I first ran the study, I meshed & ran the study in one step. In case I missed an error/warning message about bodies not getting meshed, I re-meshed it. Now, There is no more red icon.
Thanks for the update.
