    SolidWorks Simulation Error

    Amber Griggs

I am trying to run a static non-linear study in Simulation and when I try to change the material of any solid bodies in the non-linear study tab, I am presented with this error message:

The error pops up before any material dialogue appears. I right click -> apply material to all bodies, and this error pops up.

Element ‘SIGXT’ is the tensile strength of the material, a parameter very important for running simulation, so I am particularly confused as to why it would be unexpected. I have not gotten to the point where I can select a material to apply before the error presents itself, so It shouldn’t be caused by a material database that was formatted incorrectly.
