I am trying to run a h-adaptive simulation study on an assembly and it takes several hours to run. On Windows 10 I leave the computer running and do other things. After an hour or so running it is at the second iteration. Look at it again after an other hour or so and the computer has the log screen. When I log in, SOLIDWORKS is no longer running and I have lost all the work simulation has done. What can I do to stop this from happening? It is a desktop pc and have set sleep, display, and turn off hard drives to never. Even have it to prompt before reboot due to Windows updates.
I had this: I had it all set up with windows update set to ask before update. Oneofhe windows updates changed all this and made it reset to factory settings. It took a while to dig around and find out where the new setting was. It was a while ago and I can't recall right now where it was but I do remember it was deep and some place new. Good luck.
