I'm in Solidworks 2017 and I'm using a template for the drawing document with the "Overall drafting standard" set to use the ANSI. However, the drawings continue to come up with what appears to be the ISO standard. I go to the Document Properties > Overall drafting standard and it says it ANSI. I click the dropdown and select something else, then click the dropdown again and select ANSI, click OK, and the drawiwng changes to ANSI. Am I doing something wrong?
Owen,
Anything in the Document Properties tab is a per file setting. So, if a drawing file was created with an ISO standard. That standard is carried with the file. You have to change it for each existing file. To fix it for new files you create, change it in the template used to create drawings.
Good news is that it can be changed automatically with either #Task(maybe, I haven't used it) or a macro(definitely).
