I have just received a very large STP file (100Mb) from a client and can open it in Inventor without any issues, but Solidworks is reporting surface errors when I open it. I have searched for how to fix this and often the answer I get is "use Import Diagnostics". The problem is, this option is not available anywhere. I have saved the entire assembly as a parasolid and tried opening the parasolid but I still don't get the option. Has anyone had this happen and know what I can do?

I don't understand why I have to go through this drama everytime I open STEP files in Solidworks when other programs can open them just fine.
