You can't render because Sw don't see it as solid, try measuring it and you will see, it is not there in terms of Sw. If you want to do render stl, try Blender. You still need to modify some settings after importing your model, add a light source etc. to get a good result. I just saved it as Blender format and attached to this post
Also your stl file have some problems, it is not a closed geometry, you can fix this with Netfabb
