Dear Team,
How to Change the Base value of Ordinate dimensions and set it to a non-zero value so that all corresponding dimensions in that ordinate will update according to the base value?
I am aware that we can't do it by normal methods as of now, but is there any way to use macros or some kind of programming to change the base value of an ordinate dimension and to update children dimensions in that chain automatically.
We define a sketch point and later hide it or we can use display states or layers to hide the unwanted references
Is there any way where we can change it using macros or any other methods
Thanks in advance
Nikhil
Hi Nikhil,
Add a reference plane in your model instead and dimension to the plane. That plane won't show up in your drawing view.
Sample below shows reference point in drawing. Same principle
Make a reference point with 1DOF and specify your base value i.e. 1000 then hide the 0 and the base value dimensions.
All your running dimension will look as if the start at 1000+
Base at 1000
Base modified to 500
