I have setup and run a basic flow simulation on Solidworks 2017 on a Windows 10 machine.
Whenever I run a simulation, and whether I stop it or let it finish solving, it spits out the error shown in the picture below, and doesn't allow me to load the results.
The .cpt and .fld files are in the same folder. I've tried deleting the files and resetting up the simulation, remaking the CAD, changing the mesh, and various simulation settings but this error persists.
Does anyone have any idea what would be causing this to happen?
Thanks,
Jake
Niklas,
I never found a direct fix to the problem, but I did manage to get the error to stop happening. Out of the things I did, I don't know exactly which one kept the error from happening, but here are the things I did:
So basically, I just started from scratch. There was one instance where even after doing all this, the error continued, but it was just that once and everything worked fine from there on after.
It's worth noting that I was writing a tutorial for undergraduate engineering students (I am a graduate engineering student and teaching assistant) which I wrote step by step as I went through the simulation myself, and none of my students had the error, thankfully. So, it must have been caused by something I did in the first few sims I set up.
Hope this helps.
Jake
