I was wondering if anyone had a method for getting the max length width and height of an object for a drawing macro.

One possible way I was thinking is convert the item to a weldment and do a bounding box with all objects. Does anyone know if there's a different way or one step solution? I don't want to be converting and converting objects. Is there a way to grab these dimensions and show them in the drawing automatically with the furthest dimensions in a particular view?
