Is there a better way to model PZT material expansion in SolidWorks FEA rather than simply applying a bulk temperature to the material?
I have an assembly where a PZT expands and translates, so simply replacing the PZT element with boundary conditions at the 2 faces is difficult, at best. My only current fall back to is simply apply a bulk temperature to the PZT element to get the expected expansion displacement and then analyze the stresses around the end faces. Is there are more proper way to do this?
