positive/negative position relation

i have done a assembly which has some parts. i have created relations between parts. i know that these relations have to be positives. i control these relations by equations, so when i change any global variable the equations change and the relations change too but in the wrong side.
i`ll explain better. for example: i have two parts A and B.i create a relation from A to B to the left.if the reation value changes now the relation is from A to B but to the right. so, it is like a "negative" relation.
what can i do something to avois this problem?

Can you use the distance mate for your situation? With the distance mate, you can specify a max and a min distance, so if you set the min distance at 0, it shouldn't switch to a negative value.

  what option is the "distance mate"? sorry, but i have the solidworks cersion in spanish and i can´t find it.

    The distance mate has a button that looks like a linear dimension with a box next to it for numeric input. To get to the mate options, go to the pull down menu labeled insert, then choose mates (sorry, don't know the spanish translation). Another way to get to the mates commands is on the assembly toolbar, the mate command looks like a paper clip.

      ok, i have found it the buttom but how do you do to specify a min and a max?

        In the mates dialog, expand the "Advanced Mates" block. There you will find limit distance.

        Just to add a little, the limit mate will allow for travel between the min and max in one assembly configuration. If you don't want the travel, just to show the min and max position, I would suggest having to configurations with different values for a distance mate. Either way works well, just need to pick which suits your application best.
