Did you login as admin & checked...and check in the deleted items
Yes logged in as Admin no deleted files
there could be a lot of reason which cause this problem
*1st I suggest you to disable the option "Duplicate File Name Check" if its enabled,
it could be the reason if you have another file with the same name inside the vault.
*2nd possibility could be from the deleted files,
- right click on the vault
- click on "properties"
- then click on the "Deleted Items" tab
- select all the files in the window
- right click
- select Destroy
by doing this you will make sure all the deleted files are erased from the vault
*3rd right click on the vault and select "Clear Local Cache"
if the problem still occurring let us know.
So you are saying that the deleted files can still be seen?
How can this be?
It can't be seen, but just in case if there is problem in the PDM system.
so we try to do all the possibilities to catch the problem
Hi John,

My first hunch would be to check the admin users permissions for the initial workflow state that the file would be put into. I have been able to replicate the error you're getting with the following steps:

1. Create a workflow
2. Set the permissions for the initial state so that the currently logged in user has all permissions
3. Add a file to the vault and check it in
4. Change the state permissions so that the currently logged in user cannot read file contents for the initial state of the workflow
5. The files will now appear as <local> files and if you attempt to check the file in you get the error: "File xxxx already exists in the vault"
