Lofted Boss/Base feature for hook

I am trying to create a simple hook with the Lofted feature but am not being successful in doing so.  I have watched a few YouTube videos that were similar but still am not able to create it.

 

I am trying to have two diametric profiles (different diameters) follow the path and merge the 2 sizes.  How do I go about doing this?  I do have a circular profile on top of the shaft seen in the photo.

Use a loft and select Centerline
