I have a surface that I need flattened but my Pro will not do it. Very annoying btw. Both files are attached.
Thank you.

Rechecked those files Chris, they are still coming through with gaps. Run them through your import diagnostics. Was this a file you received from someone else? It is a shame that SolidWorks doesn't include this ability in professional, kinda cheesy I think.....like I said, wish I could help but I just have professional as well. Anybody out there want to lend a hand?

Chris,
What version of SWX are you running?

Chris,
I'm running 2018 Premium
I do very little work with surfaces but I thought I'd try to flatten your parts for you.
I think I was able to flatten part2 OK but I don't seem to be able to flatten part1. I keep getting errors.
Anyway see if part2 works for you. Maybe somebody more experienced will be able to handle part1.
Hope this helps.

Try this.
I was able to flatten the smaller surface and flatten most of the larger surface. Whenever I try to add the rest of that larger surface I don't get any errors but once I finish the command no flattened surface shows up.
I don't know if this will help but it seems to be the best I can get.
Edit:
BTW, the part I attached was from your original post. I tried to do it with the .sldprt file as well and got the same results.
I gave it a go and couldn't get the part 1 flattened, either. I, like you, have little experience with surfaces. And, I'm a little disappointed that Premium Import Diagnostics couldn't "heal" those gaps. I really haven't had much luck importing into SW.

I was able to heal the face and most of the gaps but there were 2 that wouldn't be budged.
I was able to get most of the part flattened but I couldn't get the 3 areas on the end to become part of the flattened surface.
I wonder if the 2 remaining gaps are in that section of the part.
Chris,
I don't have premium either, sorry I couldn't help. However, your models came in with errors. You may want to export them as an x_t (parasolid) format just in case somebody with premium is willing to help....
