Hello,
I am new to Solidworks, and I wanted to find out about the drag coefficient, after one second at 22m/s. How do you do that? I have to make a F1 car for the F1 in schools competiton. I know that we need to find out about :
1. The velocity of the car (which is 22m/s)
2. The frontal area of the car (which is 1392.816 mm^2)
3. Drag Force (I have know clue)
I want the results of the simulation after 1 second
Please reply ASAP, it would help
Regards,
Daksh
Hi Daksh,
The way you would have Flow Simulation find the Drag Coefficient of a model is by using an Equation Goal. Equation Goals in Flow Simulation would require that you setup other goals for the variables you would use within the Equation Goal. In this case it would be drag force and flow velocity. This video shows how this setup would be done in practice (GoEngineer - SOLIDWORKS Flow Simulation - Drag Coefficient) to find the Drag Coefficient.
