Has anyone had this problem before? I bought a pc to just use solidworks and it wont let me install it for some reason. I have the hp spectre 13. Thanks
Click in the Installation Manager and press the control key and "-". This will zoom out, so you can see everything in the window.
In your Windows Display Settings, what % does it show next to "Change the size of text, apps, and other items: "
Thank you that worked can't believe I didn't think of that, its still pretty small but was able to start to downloading it. It's at 300%.
Glad it worked.
If its comfortable, you should back off that percentage to 250%. I think you'll get more reliable results in the Installation and in SOLIDWORKS itself. In 2017, you'll still find a few more obscure corners of the software where icons and text are misplaced at 250%, as we've been working on high resolution support over time and did some more work in 2018 for that.
With 250% I can see more of the icons so Ill stay with that, the only thing is that is seems to lag. I wonder if its because of the resolution since I do have 16 gb of ram.
