Is the PCB portion buried inside the SW 2018 disks or is it seperate?
For 2016, It is available as a separate installer.
For 2017 and newer, It's part of the normal SW installer. If you look under Electrical Products in the installer you'll see a place for the PCB license code.
Word of warning, the upgrade path between PCB 2017 and 2018 is very buggy. Part of the installation process requires upgrading Firebird from 2.5 to 3.0 and that process was broken in 2018 SP0.1.... SP1 seems to work.
PCB is included in Professional/Premium version but depends on you requirements and you may need to buy the professional module of PCB/Electrical.

It depends on if you're just looking for the Circuitworks plugin that allows communications between Altium and Solidworks or the full blown Solidworks PCB Editor. What Deepak listed above is just the Circuitworks plug in... If you want Solidworks PCB it's a totally separate license (and cost).
Yes, I know it's separate and has a cost but is it on a seperate disc or is it in the same .exe as SW 2018?
I think so but just want to confirm because we have SW 2015 and I've just went to the download site but don't see anything PCB
It's all new for us (PCB that is).
You'll soon learn that the documentation for PCB sucks... If you're searching the web for help you can try looking under PCBWorks. For most of 2016 Solidworks PCB was nothing more than PCBWorks with a different splash screen. 99% of the documentation for PCBWork still holds up.
