Should I pull up the drawing templates I made for SW2015 and set them up as my default template? Will this bring over all my drawing settings as well?
Create a separate drawing template (without overwriting your existing one) using 2015 version (which would have all settings but do check in 2018 as some additional settings could be there) and use that to check if the problem is solved or not. If yes then this could be probably template/document setting issue. So check the dimension and other settings in your 2018 template.
I think that it can be the same problem as in the thread Missing sketch dimension - 2017 SP4
Mark, try to change a dimension font in a Document properties -- menu Tools > Options > Document properties tab > Dimensions > here change a Font for Dimensions. In default it is Century Gothic, try to setup for example Arial... If it works with Arial, you have probably a Century Gothic font corrupted.
To repair corrupted fonts (intervention in operating system registers, consult IT department):
- On the keyboard, press "Windows + R" and enter: regedit - Registry Editor opens
- Search for a record:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Fonts
- Rename all Century Gothic font values
- Restart the computer
- Reinstall Century Gothic fonts in Windows (you can use a Century Gothic font from W7 or download it via internet)
Hope it helps, bye.
It worked immediately. Thank you Josef.
