Please advise why the code below generates an error.The "exe" file is in the required folder.
MyAppID = Shell("C:/Program Files(x86)/AngelSix/SaveAsX/SaveAsX.exe ", 1)
Try to remove the space after .exe and before ". Could be as simple as a type
I still get the same error after changing the code as per your suggestion.
Actually, it's probably the space in the middle of "Program Files"
Try adding extra quote marks around the whole path. In fact, in VB you have to use 2 double quotes to represent a single double quote, so you end up needing 3 at the start and the end:
MyAppID = Shell("""C:/Program Files(x86)/AngelSix/SaveAsX/SaveAsX.exe""", 1)
you are using wrong folder separator sign
MyAppID = Shell("""C:\Program Files(x86)\AngelSix\SaveAsX\SaveAsX.exe""", 1)
To eliminate typo errors, just navigate to the location in windows and then hold shift + right-click the file. Choose copy as path and paste that directly into your code.
Example of my SLDWORKS.EXE location:
"C:\Program Files\SolidWorks Corp\SOLIDWORKS (2)\SLDWORKS.exe"
Edit - I think there should be a space between Files and (x86)
