PDMWorkgroup Bulk Loader Issue

The PDMWorkgroup 2009 bulk loader crashes before completing the transfer of files from SmarTeam. We have tried increasing server memory, transferring in smaller data packets and even tried 2008 bulk loader. The program seems to crash randomly and not associated with anyone particular file. We sent our data to SolidWorks and they confirmed there is a bug, however they have not provided us with details or how long it would take to resolve.

I find it hard to believe no one else is having these issues if it is indeed a bug. Has anyone else experienced this sort of problem? Solutions?

SolidWorks WON'T tell you when they can expect to have your bug fixed. Only IF they have fixed it in a particular service pack. Bugs/Issues with the non-core functionality don't always get the highest priority.

If you're have difficulty, you might consider writing your 'own bulk loading' application with the API (I wrote mine in Excel) or look to have an outside consultant perform the task for you.

  Our company did hire outside programming consultant to extract data from SmarTeam to PDM Workgroup. They, nor SW has an answer as to why the data transfer crashes at different times randomly.
  
  I will talk with our consultant and mention your suggestion to write "own bulk load" application. However, if PDM bulk loader is failing, not sure how writing own will resolve the problem...
