Comparison of Fan Blades using Flow Simulation

    Alex Rosenblum

I am interested in comparing several different fan blades using flow simulation.  The fan blade is located inside of a tube, so I would like to do an internal flow simulation.

What metric do I use to compare the different fan blades?  I think that MASS FLOW RATE is the best metric because I want to see how much air is moved by the rotating fan blade.  Yet MASS FLOW RATE is not one of the results.  It is a goal that I set up to use for convergence.

The MASS FLOW RATE is positive and negative when I look at the graph.  So how do I make sense of this?  What is the total mass flow rate or even volumetric flow rate?

      TIA,
