How to I get the Feature tree out of Cimatron into Solidworks?
I don't think you can get that..
Are you talking about Cimatron E?
Both working 2 different kernels, Cimatron using ACIS and SolidWorks is parasolid
Thank you for replying, John. Yes, Cimatron E.
I've got complete surface parts that need to be imported into SolidWorks. Once imported, it only lists generic surfaces without showing how the parts were made.
We transfer files between Cimatron E13 and SolidWorks
In both case, it's just generic surfaces or dump solids
If you can convert into solid in Cimatron, then save as parasolid, there is a chance you get a clean solid in SolidWorks when you import.
Yes John is correct.
Michael is there anything in particular you are trying to do with the file? In theory you can still model anything or modify anything without a history tree.
Thank you also for replying, Richard. I'm just trying to save as much time as possible. Makes the process for "simple" modifications more time consuming.....
