I just rendered an assembly, all the piece parts are Satin
Finish Stainless Steel. Then I went to render the piece parts all
seperately, picked the same settings across the board, and it
renders with what looks like Polished Steel. Why would this
appearance render differently in an assembly vs. piece
parts?

Is this really PhotoWorks? Looks more like PhotoView 360 to me...
What I can say just by looking at the images:
- Floor orientation seems to be different
- texture mapping different? Setting to "automatic" will result in different mapping techniques, depending on the part geometry
Any of the other parts show the same texture/appearance, but the base looks different when rendered seperately.
What if you hide all the parts in the assembly file so just the base is showing and render that.
Its strange though because if I use that process on the other parts, hide the rest of the components, they do render like they do in the full assembly. Its just the base that is acting differently.
