recently just passed the CSWP and was going to move onto the Advanced surfacing test, has anyone taken it, any insight?
The CSWP for Surfacing was the toughest one I've taken. Currently I've taken the Drawings, Molds and Surfacing. Surfacing was the first time I've had to take a test twice, and I do surfacing every day.
i have seen the mouse practice exam, was the test similar to that at all? what type of questions?
It's been a while since I took it. Have you taken the advanced surfaces class? This is probably the best training since there were several examples used in that class that were also used on the test.
i took the class that my Dassi our VAR offered, is there one solidworks offers?
Yeah. The bike frame model seems to come to mind. Maybe some others. Been awhile like I said. Good luck!
It has been 8 years since I took it, but I wrote a little blog post https://dezignstuff.com/1733/
As I remember it, at least one of the models was built around a highly specific method developed by another user that I adapted as an example for the course. If you missed it, you would probably fail.
It has probably changed a bit since then, along with the related training material. I didn't write the original test, but I did write the original surfacing training class from which some of the examples were taken.
passed the test this morning! wasn't too bad at all
